Story
Wait is over…the much awaited Rs 40 Cr plus budget movie from Geetha Arts hit the screens today. ‘Badrinath’ in the combination of V V Vinayak and Allu Arjun created lot buzz while making the movie. The promo stills showing Allu Arjun six pack body and Tamannah navel show raised the expectations few more notches. Let’s see how far the movie is meting the expectations of audience….

Badra (Allu Arjun) is a savior of holy place Badrinath. Alakananda ( Tamannah) visits Badrinath along with her grandfather and fell in love with Badra. Alakananda uncle Sarkar (Kelly Dorge) and Aunty (Ashwani Kalasekar) is forcefully trying to get her married to their son.

Badra who doesn’t know that Alakananda is in love with him promises his full support in achieving her love. Bhishma Narayan ( Prakaash Raj), head of Takshashila and master to Badra wishes to rope Badra in his place. In order to become head of Takshashila one has to be in bachelorhood status lifelong. Badra accepts it and promises that he will not break his word.

Rest of the story is how Alakananda and Badra unite against all odds.

Performance

Allu Arjun tried his best to save the film with his energetic performance. His dancing skills are superb and worth to watch. He worked hard and gave his 100 percent in action scenes.

Tamannah is purely a galm doll in the movie. She liberally exposed her milk white body with ample display of her round navel.

Prakash Raj acted well as Takshashila head and Badra master. Rao Ramesh, Kelly Dorge and Ashwani Kalasekar justified their roles.

Brahmanandam, M S Narayana, Dharmavarapu Subrahmanyam, Krishna Bhagawan and Raghu Babu tried their best to evoke laughs. Rest all are OK.

Technical

V V Vinayak is one among few good directors Tollywood possess. But after watching ‘Badhrinath’, one would wonder how V V Vinayak deserves the good director tag. Chinni Krishna story is weak and out dated. Screenplay is pathetic.

Music by Keeravani is good. Songs and background score is plus to the movie. Cinematography by Ravi Varman is good. Fights by Peter Haynes are gruesome and needs lot of chopping. Choreography is highlight in the movie. Art work by Anand Sai is good. Production values are good.

Analysis

Allu Arvind who made ‘Magadheera’ starring Ram Charan Tej was a super hit and expected that V V Vinayak would deliver a hit with the same magnitude for Arjun. This Rs 40 plus Crore budget movie is nowhere near to the ‘Magadheera’.

Chinni Krishna script has many flaws in first place. In present time, Saviors protecting Holy places with is no government security around doesn’t make sense. Badra stopping the machine gun bullets with sword only shows directors immaturity. There are many scenes like these…

As far the movie progress is concerned, there is nothing much in the first half other than introduction of characters. Story starts just before the interval and ends with predictable climax. Though songs are the only saving grace in the movie, they are the speed breakers for the progress of the movie.

Nothing will appeal you except Allu Arjun dances and Tamannah navel treat. Its survival chances at the box office are very slim. Finally , 'Badrinath' is strictly a 'No Go' even if you have plenty of free time to kill ….
